Remote Learning
Please refer to this page in the event of your child having to quarantine or school closure due to Coronavirus.
COVID 19 has changed how schools provide learning. Due to quarantine procedures, it is possible that groups of children will have to isolate at home at different points in the school year. Our attached Remote Learning
Our remote learning offer aims to support families in maintaining a routine for learning and a sense of belonging to the wonderful school community of Langer Primary Academy. We prioritise the strong relationships between pupils and adults at school and will ask families to support us by providing their child with routines to access every online, live lesson taught to their child’s class.
Please read the remote education provision information in the attachments section.

Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a free web-based platform that allows pupils to view, complete and submit their homework on-line using their Langer Primary Academy email log-ins. This integrates Google services such as Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Calendar and Gmail. Google Classroom saves time and paper, and makes it easy to create classes, distribute assignments, communicate and stay organised! No more lost homework excuses!
Teachers can quickly see who has or hasn’t completed the work, and provide direct, real-time feedback.
Instructions on how pupils access Google Classroom can be viewed below.
If you have any queries or concerns then please speak to your child’s class teacher.
To log-on to Google Classroom please follow the instructions below:
- Type into the Google search engine ‘Google Classroom’ into the search box.
- Click the top link ‘Google Classroom’. This will take you to the following page.
- In the ‘Enter your email’ box, write your Langer Primary Academy email address. This should be the first letter of your name followed by your surname followed by @langerprimaryacademy.org (this rule does not always apply, especially if you have a sibling – talk to your class teacher if you are unsure).
Example: Joe Bloggs will sign in as jbloggs@langerprimaryacademy.org
Please ensure that all spelling are correct. - Then click on ‘Next’.
- Enter your password.
All children have been given a password if they are unsure or have forgotten their password then they should speak to their class teacher. - Once you are signed in your class should appear on screen, click on this and it will take you straight to your classes Google Classroom. There you can access the current homework and complete it online.
If you have any difficulties accessing Google Classroom at school then you must speak to your class teacher immediately so that they can help you to complete your homework.
