Free Breakfast Club for All Pupils
We are proud to offer a free Breakfast Club for all pupils, ensuring every child starts the school day settled, nourished and ready to learn. We are the only school in Felixstowe to provide this service universally, reflecting our strong commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and equality of opportunity.
Our Breakfast Club provides children with a welcoming, calm start to the day, where they can enjoy a healthy breakfast and social time with friends before lessons begin.
Why Breakfast Matters
A good breakfast is vital for children’s concentration, energy and overall wellbeing. Our free Breakfast Club helps to:
- Support children’s focus and readiness to learn
- Promote healthy routines and good nutrition
- Reduce morning stress for families
- Ensure all pupils, regardless of circumstance, start the day equally
By removing cost as a barrier, we ensure every child can benefit, every day.
A Positive Start to the School Day
Breakfast Club is supervised by familiar, caring staff who create a relaxed and supportive environment. Children are encouraged to socialise, build independence and enjoy a calm transition into the school day.

Offering a free Breakfast Club to all pupils is part of our wider commitment to supporting families and putting children’s wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. Being the only school in Felixstowe to provide this service reflects our determination to go above and beyond for our community.
We believe that when children start the day well, they are better prepared to thrive — socially, emotionally and academically.
After-school childcare
We are run an after-school club specifically for childcare purposes. The club is run by Mrs Ranson and Mrs Malster. It runs from 3:30-5:00pm, Monday & Thursday, and runs until 4:30 on a Friday. The cost is £6 per session, the place can be booked through the school office and paid for via Arbor. The children are offered a biscuit and a drink, and enjoy a range of activities, from board games & puzzles to drawing & Lego. Parents collect children via the blue double doors in the car park as the school office closes at 4:00 pm.
If your child is in receipt of free school meals, you can use your £100 grant to pay towards this.
Enrichment & Clubs
Every child has the option to an extended school day, until 4:30, by attending after school activities run by Xtra Time. The options for this term as follows;
Monday – Outdoor Multi Skills for R/Y1/Y2/ Donaldson & Attenborough Class – 15:30-16:30.
Tuesday – School day ends at 16:20. There are no afterschool provisions this day.
Wednesday – Junior Athletics for Y3/4/Bolt Class & working parents only 15:30-16:30.
Thursday – Athletics for Y4/Y5/Mandela Class 15:30-16:30.
Friday – Striking & Fielding for Y6/Rosa Parks Class 15:30-16:30.

Please note that there is funding available to for pupils that require financial assistance. All enquiries to be made via the school office.
